Traditional rooftop solar
It has never been easier or cheaper to generate your own electricity from solar panels, a reliable and clean way to use the power of the sun.
Solar panel systems, also known as solar photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic cells and turn it into electricity. These cells don’t need direct sunlight to work – they can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day.
Different technologies are available concerning inverters, micro-inverters, optimizers, mono- and poly-crystalline panels, batteries and software and monitoring systems. Our in-house design experts will offer a tailor-made solution for your individual needs, with some flexibility in design to allow for future upgrading or downsizing.

Product Warranty vs. NextGen’s 25-year Power Guarantee
NZ’s small solar installation companies now appear to be competing by offering ever more attractive warranties, with 15 years on panels, or 10 years on inverters etc. However it should be remembered that the majority of systems installed in New Zealand are only practically ‘covered’ for as long as your solar installer is in business, and the ability (or inclination) of the overseas original equipment manufacturer to support future claims is not guaranteed.
This is particularly important to note, as the NZ Standards covering solar installations REQUIRE panels to be cabled and inter-connected by qualified electricians. If you are considering NOT using a qualified electrician, any future warranty claims could well be void.
At NextGen, whilst all our top brand components are covered for product build warranty, we also provide a 25 year power production guarantee* and every solar module carries a kWh guarantee for up to 25 years. This is the best guarantee of all. Will your panels produce as much as we said they would? We guarantee that they will – and if for some reason they don’t, we’ll pay you the cash difference annually.
No-one can match that.
